Which Modern Era Doom do you think has the hardest UN run?

Challenge areas are not required. Just the run in general to beat.

All of the new era games have a certain point in the run where it’s generally considered smooth sailing once you get past it.

In 2016, it’s when you get the gauss cannon and can just obliterate enemies from a distance or abuse quick switching for insane dps.

In Eternal, it’s Cultists Base, because once you get past Cultists Base, the hard part is over. You now have everything you need to have max mobility. You may get the BFG and other guns later, but with the SSG meathook, you have the most important mobility, and have beaten some of the most difficult arenas in the run prior in this very mission. Honestly the only threats past Cultist Base is Urdak.

Including the TAG DLCs, really only the Holt is a run killer, because the final boss is JUST THAT HARD. TAG 2 it’s honestly hard to lose your run because the hammer is just so overpowered, so I wouldn’t doubt if everyone ranked this one last place.

Including Master levels? Dear god is Taras Nabad somehow harder than the entire base campaign. So many rooms that can end the run and the Archvile prison can kill even the most seasoned veteran. World Spear is also hard but more fun than difficult. Once you get the hammer you just gotta abuse it as best you can to win. The final area may as well be the run killer in it. If horde mode had a UN run, it’d probably be right after World Spear. Mars Core ML is pretty tough, but not as much as the other two mentioned. Arc Complex and Cultist base are kinda just glorified final level of the base campaign difficulty.

In Dark Ages it’s probably Ancestral Forge, but even then if you’re skilled with the Impaler, you can curb stomp 80% of the demons and the SSG and shield bash can usually deal with the rest. The shield runes just make the run all the more easier. Once you get heaven splitter it just gets progressively easier if you can actually parry. Edit: The Revenant and Komodo mini-boss may also be considered the smooth sailing point. I’ve heard it being a huge run killer, but personally I hadn’t had trouble with it, maybe just because I focus the Komodo behind pillars.

Something weird I noticed in the endgame of Dark Ages

Why when you reach Resurrection does your shield rune seem to randomize?

I played a Nightmare and Pandemonium run and in both when I get here I noticed it happen. I keep Heaven splitter on always, but once I reach Resurrection, I noticed ground fissure activating. Maybe I’m seeing things. Nope, then Vergil’s DMC blades and the auto turret. I check my runes, and it’s off Heaven Splitter. Both runs this happened on. Both runs I noticed it randomize and it always cycles through them.

Anyone else notice this happening?

Can the doom slayer Beat Chululu with his bare hands ?

J'ai entendu dire que le tueur est vraiment fort ? Mais à quel point ? Est-ce qu'il fait ça dans le jeu ?

Edit : I mean the Chululu in game, just like those big deamon giant's.

Edit 2 : I stand corrected, ''HIS DOOOOOOOOOOOOM"

Doomguy being God (Davoth) was hinted at as early as Doom 1.

In the final level of Doom 1 Episode 2, we see Doomguy reach the Tower of Babel. He kills the lord of the tower, the Cyberdemon, which likely damaged the demon's faith in their leaders, based on how another Cyberdemon is getting ganged up on in Tricks and Traps. While Doomguy didn't scatter their languages, his actions at the Tower tore a rift in the demons power structure, which is hinted at in Doom 2's Gotcha! level, where a Cyberdemon and Spider Mastermind fight. Doomguy shattered the demons morale and cooperation, just as God did to the sinners who tried to reach his domain.

Calling it now: Belias the Hell Priest is likely the Wretch (reposted so it doesn’t get removed)

For as little information as we have on both he and the Wretch, Let me explain, first off Hell Priest’s job is to record the history of Hell, and Belias is the oldest of them. Belias knows the most of what the slayer can do out of any demon, because he was there to witness it all.

He shows constant annoyance with Ahzrak’s campaign and his consorting with the witch, constantly warning him against it. Yet none heed his advice despite him being the most arguable knowledgeable of all the demons.

He is a conduit for the High Council of Hell, essentially Hell’s rulers in Davoth’s absence. I make the prediction that they as well do not heed his warnings, and in the DLC, he will betray them, and give the Slayer the Preator armor, using his wisdom he had realized it was pointless to combat the Slayer, and being the most knowledgeable demon, it would make sense for him to have created the armor.

Finally, but the least likely evidence, his voice is slightly similar to those of the Doom 2016 lore tablets, but we don’t know if it was the wretch who recorded those,

Can anyone tell me what level this is.

I'm stuck in this level, I went around in circles multiple times and I can't figure out where to go. I was trying to look up a guide or something, but I have no idea what level I am on.(is there a way to check?) Can someone tell me what level I am on, so I can finally beat this level?(or maybe just tell me what I need to do?)
