I'm turning 17 in a few days, and since I plan to study medicine, my parents gave me "Campbell's Biology" for my birthday. I was thinking about biology being the most pessimistic science, because it shows the entire process of the phenomenon of life up to the suffering beings we are now... what do you think?

In this essays, I’ll try to show how the philosophy/religion of Buddhism has a lot to do with a lot of pessimist philosophers — such as like Thomas Ligotti, Júlio Cabrera and Arthur Schopenhauer. I will also demonstrate the negative notions inside this philosophy and why it gives us a pessimistic view of the world.
