WIN CON
This deck has multiple win cons and choosing which one to go for is the challenge. The meme combo is only achieved in ½ games. It's really fun when it goes off, but if you aim for it every game, you will lose a lot.
Some games you just win with Kiljaeden out of ETC and outvalue them.
Astalor hijinx also win lot of games so if shudderwock is dirty ratted you play on and aim for an astalor or kiljaeden endgame. Undatakah after plated beetle also can create excessive armor for your shudderwocks.
WHY NO GRUMBLE OR SNOWFALL
You want your bodies on the board. This isn’t a infinite combo shudder deck and you really usually only need to play it around 3 times to win. You have Macaw and you also usually keep cold storage for shudder or astalor. Play like a control deck more than a combo deck so you don’t have to hold onto multiple pieces. You have multiple outs. Snowfall used to be a staple for all shudderwock decks but it is too slow for current meta.
WHY ICE FISHING AND ONLY ONE MURLOC
Cactus cutter is REALLY important. Vs aggro you draw your responses. Sometimes if you need draw you cold storage cactus cutter. It may seem odd, but its worth it.
MULLIGANS
Vs. aggro you keep all devolving cards (these can single handedly ruin a warlock’s day): also plated beetle, zephrys and lightning storm
Vs. combo decks you keep either loatheb or ETC (for boompistol) and you play every card with ‘draw’ in the text because you want to get Warmaster.
VS, control (Mostly warrior and reno decks) : have fun. You have pretty much a 90% win rate. If they disrupt a key piece switch game plan.
THINGS TO WATCH OUT FOR
Hand size is often an issue so play as much as you can before playing shudderwock and sometime don’t play astalor as it clogs your hand up. Nightmare lord you usually choose the ‘play battlecry twice’ option
