The main questions are 'Is purchasing used units in 2026 a bad idea?'

• V2 goes for RM2000 ~ RM2500 : $500 ~ $630. Saw some being listed as low as $400, which looked a bit shady.
• V3 goes for RM2500 ~ RM3300+: $630 ~ $840
• Considering V5 if the price jump is actually worth it

Why am I considering foldables?

I mainly use my phone to consume media: watch videos and read comics/articles. Browse Reddit, X, all that good stuff.

I do not actively look for good cameras.

I am not using my phone while showering

Are foldable phones as fragile as people say?

I probably drop my phone accidentally every 2 months lol.

Is there a mean time to hardware failure? Purchased an A34 in late 2023, and the screen just suddenly stopped functioning in late 2025. That's $480 invested for 3+2 (?) years of use. Will the V2 or V3 be worse?

I also understand the risks of the inner screen. I would be happy if I had more insights or care guides from fellow netizens.

Some quick research basically boils down to V3 = Better camera, IP ratings, and wireless charging. Some added bonus would be longevity since it's more recent. Do clarify if this statement is baseless.
