Should I wait for Boeing or accept another job offer?

So I applied to several entry level jobs at Boeing, and am waiting for the interview for the Assembler-installer position (I had a mini interview with a recruiter at a recent hiring event and was told I’m qualified and just waiting to schedule an interview). However, I recently got another job offer, from a contractor at Boeing, and I can start pretty soon. I’d prefer the Boeing job, but from what I’ve read, the hiring process could take a couple of months. Should I wait on Boeing, or should I just take the contractor job (it’s with a decent company and seems like a job I’d be good at, plus I need money fast lol)? If I do take the contractor job, should I withdraw my Boeing application? Thanks

I have a family member (in another state) who works for the post office (for almost 30 years). I have the same last name as this person (it’s a unique/rare last name). If I were to get a job with the post office, would the family member eventually find out that I got a job with USPS? Also, while applying, do they ask if we have any family working for USPS? Thanks

So on most of the jobs (particularly manufacturing), it says something like ‘accepting applications until October 1st’ etc. Does this mean that they won’t even start calling until after October 1st, or will they call you a little while after you apply? Thanks
