2YO Golden Stomach Issues
Hi! I’m looking for insight on what to do next. About 3 months ago, our 2-year-old golden retriever started having chronic diarrhea. We switched him to a ground turkey and rice diet, which helped, but when we slowly transitioned him back to his regular food, the diarrhea returned with blood. When the blood was present we took a trip to the ER vet, which found slightly elevated pancreas levels, they prescribed meds and Purina Pro Plan Gastroenteric food, and recommended a month on that diet. After a month, his bloodwork came back normal, so our regular vet suggested slowly reintroducing his old food again. Now, about a week into the transition, the diarrhea is back along with excessive vomiting. We’re really worried and looking for advice on what to do next.
