Hi,

NEED HELP LOL
as the title suggests - when i paste the ip address in the browser i.e. http:// ip. the website doesn't load.

I visited the HTB forum page about the Oopsie machine but it didnt help me either.

1. Firstly i added the ip in the /etc/hosts file.

ip thetoppers. htb

2. i flushed dns.,

3. i was able to ping the ip but it still didnt show any response.

4. i did try the curl command and the response was weird.

5. i switched to mobile hotspot but it didnt help me either.

6. tried resetting and restarting the machine but didnt work either.

7. refreshed the vpn file and it didnt work.

Hi, I'm a total beginner. I have done a few tryhackme labs like mrrobot, pickle rick and 3 machines of starting point htb. Also did some owasp juice shop and metasploitable here n there.

I want to get serious. Not be a script kiddie and not be a tutorial junkie. I want to learn things at the core. Go in depth and fully technical with stuff. If i can commit 2-3 hrs daily to HTB how much time do you think a total noob can get to a cpts level. I dont care about the cert - i want that level of expertise in this domain.

My question again: how much time will it take for a noob to reach there + what can be the best resources except the official htb cpts path + can prolabs or mini prolabs help me get there?

Anyways my question is how easy or hard will it be when i have to switch for core roles of cybersecurity like VAPT or Soc, or GRC ( this is what im interested in ). My current jobs jd is basically IT support + helpdesk or whatever. Here's the responsibility: Assist in IT infrastructure setup, maintenance, and monitoring. Handle system installations, configurations, and user support. Manage access control, password resets, and permissions. Monitor security alerts, logs, and vulnerability reports. Support the team in implementing security policies. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues

No leads, no replies. As a fresher is soo tough. Companies are hiring through capus only.

I'm at a point where i would be open to work for 15k a month. I thought having internship experience from one of big4 would help make my resume a big stronger but no idea why. The thing is, this internship was not from campus. They made it clear in the beginning that they wont be able to convert this into a full time gig so i was okay but i fought hard. Dipoed hands in multiple domains. GRC, network sec, Pentesting, and learnt a bit about OT sec.

This experience was great - i wanted to continue there but since they mentioned it i didn't strech it further.

Anyways, pls share anything that can help me with applications. Refferals would def help. Dms open if u got an opportunity.

I havent used hackthebox for a long time. i just log in and checkout somethings and leave.

whenever i try to log into my account thru KALI LINUX VM my account gets banned !?!?!?!

The thing is i tried to reset my password thru the VM and when i click on the reset password i get nerfed lol.

The last time this happened i mailed them with the things they asked me. the account went back to normal but i didnt use the platform until today. Today when i tried logging in thru my VM and tried to reset the password I got NERFED!!!!!?!?!?!??!?!

Please help me lol,,, i have been trying to study for cpts but something or the other stuff like this comes up lol.

I'm planning on starting my hackthebox journey. I have been familiar with tryhackme and learnt almost everything from there.

I did start doing htb but it felt confusing at first. Now giving it a second chance.

I'm particularly interested in challenging myself to learn things to get cpts.

If you're someone who's really familiar with the platform or if you've accomplished cpts path or htb user in general. Pls dm me or tell me here how can i stary with it? Also, which subscription would be of max benefit as I'm a student and with a light pocket.
