PGWP extension
Hi All,
My original PGWP was issued for a shorter period because my passport was expiring. After renewing my passport, I applied again online, but during the process time, my husband was on furlough from his job, so i got rejection.
After 3 months, he rejoined work, I called customer service and they asked to submit a paper application for the remaining PGWP validity period, and I applied again with updated employment information. I sent my paper application in March , and according to the courier, it was delivered on March sec week.
When I contacted customer service, I was told there have been no updates on my paper application yet.
My current work permit expires in the first week of June, and I am unsure whether I will have maintained (implied) status since I do not yet have confirmation that has officially received or started processing my paper application. I would like guidance on whether this could affect my legal status or ability to continue working while waiting for updates.
