Getting an intermittent skip on my RANE Performer. Anyone familiar with something like that?

Hey all,
I got my Performer 4 last week and really like it, but I am having an issue with tracks intermittently skipping.
I have a high end gaming laptop (windows), and it should be more than capable of handling Serato. I've tried some troubleshooting but nothing. Can't tell if it's a hardware, software, or controller issue.
I'm new to digital DJing, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

So, I have tried a ton of things:
Serato settings, all of them
Tried Virtual DJ
Tried DJay Pro
Tons of Windows settings on the laptop
USB Port power settings
Getting likes on TikTok (even tried Facebook likes too, I feel unclean.)
It still skips, even when just playing. Doing nothing else and does like a classic scratched vinyl hiccup. Does anyone have any further suggestions?
