Is it legal for a job to ask me about my illness?

Hi all, I’m hoping someone can help me figure this out. I’m supposed to be starting a new job soon and after completing the physical portion they are now asking for more detailed information about my illness. I requested flexibility for dr appointments and assumed the paperwork was for ADA compliance. After reading over the paperwork I’m not sure if they are allowed to ask me such detailed questions and I honestly don’t feel comfortable disclosing so much information about my illness. They want super specific information like what type of MS I have, the status of my illness, any past relapses and so much more. Are they legally allowed to ask me such questions? I’m feeling conflicted as I really need a job but I also feel like they’ll use the information to take away the contingent offer since this is the last thing I need to get my start date. Any advice would be appreciated!

Edit to add* I’m in CA if that makes any difference and they want my neurologist to fill out the paperwork, I can’t just opt out of it

I feel stuck

Now I have this diagnosis I feel stuck to the area I’m living :/ I really want to move, it’s so hot where I live, and I have bad heat sensitivity. But I’m so scared to leave and potentially have worse healthcare than I’m already experiencing… I always wanted to live in a more rural area with lots of land but now I feel like I can’t and have to think about being closer to hospitals. It just feels so discouraging :/ where do you all live? Did you move closer to hospitals after being diagnosed or do you have to travel for care? I’d love to hear what it’s like in other areas in the U.S. unfortunately that’s where I am located and I don’t think I have the means to move abroad

Moving Boxes

Hello! I’m in need of some boxes for moving. I’ve seen a few posts but they were a couple months ago so wondering if anyone has some lying around they’re looking to get rid of. Or if people know of any stores that allow you to take boxes. Thanks!
