anyone have “storylines” depending on their v’s backstory?

maybe “does anyone switch up their V as the story progresses?” is a better way to put this question, but i usually play with storylines in mind! for example:

corpo v;

- starts off clean, polished, and cut throat. i’ll give her neat hair and neat clothes after the first mission if i can afford to, and make her first few dialogue decisions very mean and selfish if given the opportunity.

- jackie dies, corpo v is wrecked. hair isn’t as neat anymore, clothes look like your average NC citizen’s, and she’s a bit more empathetic to people who are in need.

- time passes in game, i make her kinder and help more people, by the time i raid arasaka tower, she’ll give johnny her body as the last selfless act she does in her mostly selfish life.

something like that! i know it sounds silly, but i like to play by v’s background and “develop” them as time goes on even if it doesn’t really change much. also just wanted to know/hear about anyone else’s change ups if they do something similar!!

panam is to male v what river is to female v

i see lots of river dislike because of how hard he comes on or how awkwardly affectionate he can be, and don’t get me wrong i do agree somewhat as someone who mainly plays as female v and goes for judy, but i rarely see people use this same argument for panam! love my girl don’t get me wrong but playing as male v and going for kerry while doing her quests was so awkward 😭 she’s meant to be flirty regardless if you show any romantic interest and it makes it feel so ehh if you’re not trying to romance her.

i get that a lot of the opinions on river and panam differ because one, we have more time with panam as compared to river and two, lots of the fandom is full of straight dudes or lesbians who don’t mind the attention from panam (which isn’t a problem), but i do find it just a little dramatic when people call river creepy or anything like that. is his romance rushed? absolutely yeah, but he’s not at all as creepy or weird the fandom makes him out to be! obv you don’t HAVE to like his character or romance route, but i do think it’s hypocritical in a way to call river a creep while all the love interests can come on a bit strong ’:)
