In particular " other forms of netrunning", "netrunners are capable of amazing feat, whether they're in the same room as the computer or deep diving across the city"

Calling it now: the absence of V in the sequel will upset a lot of players

CDPR has reaffirmed multiple times that V’s story is finished, yet a lot of people still seem to expect them to return in future games. Which imo would kind of undermine the weight and finality of their story in 2077.

I know I’m not the only one who wants to see Blackhand play a major role in the next game, and I really hope he does. (pretty likely atp given the small crumbs of info we have so far)

>!also why tf is lucy there lmao!<

What caused you to realize " I love this game?" if you do

Was it a single character? a storyline? the ambiance ?

Mine was feeling out of my depth but immersed in a world so vibrantly full of life despite Night City being ... Night City. Right around the time you get past the prologue

This game takes you on a rollercoaster ride... seriously, you can operate the rollercoaster.

I just watched my kid take Jonny Silverhand on a rollercoaster ride next to the Grand Imperial Mall in Pacifica... apparently fixing the rollercoaster is an unmarked miniquest.

The longer I play this game, the more I learn...

Okay so recently I made a post asking why V’s cyber deck was in their head when runners like Murphy and Bartmoss had physical decks on their wrist the common answer was “because it was 50 years ago” and that would make sense… if T-bug didn’t have a physical deck as well!

Worth it to get Phantom Liberty?

Hello! Im currently on my first ever playthru of this game and its love at first sight. I'm definitely going to get PL but if I get it right now will it be available to my current play or should I wait til I start my next run?

Edit: Purchased!

anyone have “storylines” depending on their v’s backstory?

maybe “does anyone switch up their V as the story progresses?” is a better way to put this question, but i usually play with storylines in mind! for example:

corpo v;

- starts off clean, polished, and cut throat. i’ll give her neat hair and neat clothes after the first mission if i can afford to, and make her first few dialogue decisions very mean and selfish if given the opportunity.

- jackie dies, corpo v is wrecked. hair isn’t as neat anymore, clothes look like your average NC citizen’s, and she’s a bit more empathetic to people who are in need.

- time passes in game, i make her kinder and help more people, by the time i raid arasaka tower, she’ll give johnny her body as the last selfless act she does in her mostly selfish life.

something like that! i know it sounds silly, but i like to play by v’s background and “develop” them as time goes on even if it doesn’t really change much. also just wanted to know/hear about anyone else’s change ups if they do something similar!!

Spectacular timing for this call!

I was just out poppin’ some tires at the Corpo Roundabout with my pedestrian hostage, y’know, maybe mowing down some civilians in a cyberpsychotic fury when I get the call from beyond the Blackwall. Ominous.

Coincidence? Yeah… almost assuredly, but a wonderful coincidence nonetheless!!

Night City and morality.

While I really love how this game and the storylines in it are still discussed even today and I think vast majority here do understand that things are often not so black or white. For some V's it might be, but overall I think the game often leaves it open for interpretation on purpose..

What bothers me, is when our current day morality is treated as a law that exists in this universe. I feel like it's missing the point entirely. Few if any are actually purely good in NC and the city will either corrupt them or eat them alive. This I don't think the game is vague about at all.

So like in the recently discussed Claire affair. She is acting irrationally for losing her partner, but I don't think that she lying to you should determine her entire character when she is willing to back down when at the verge of getting her revenge. Kinda same with So Mi, she is a slave having her being taken over by essentially a demon. Yet when just about to be free she confesses to you, risking everything.

Same in a way that while they and so many other characters have done mistakes and can arguably be bad people, they do also have some humanity left in them, that they reveal at their weakest moments. That's what the game asks of you too, can you forgive them or can you deliver that judgement on them? Same with the endings, are you any better than the people you stepped on just to survive?

Any fast way to max out Netrunner XP?

I'm running a build with Sandevistan (so no deck) and 3 Intelligence. I've been able to max out every other skill by just dedicating myself to using their weapon type for long enough, but I don't really relish the thought of playing a no-quickhacks-no-perks Smart Weapon setup for long enough to get to 60.

Would it be viable to just craft a zillion quickhacks?

Series X portraits

All taken on the series X, only editing done was cropping and removing the color. I seriously love photo mode.
