Rewatched a little of Edgerunners and their dynamic reminds me that of a nerdy young man getting with a bad girl who is slowly but surely corrupting him. Compatible and full of chemistry, yeah. Gets him into trouble that should’ve stayed away from her. Oh yes.

Reminds me of my childhood. Especially with her being older than him😂. Good times.

Going to buy Cyberpunk 2077 on the PS5 Pro as well.

Are Joke NPCs a Thing?

Standing on the edge of a roof overlooking a parking lot and oblivion, Alla Flippova is oblivious to the acid rain that washes away the traces of her former life in Dogtown. Down below, a scav shouts "do a flip!" If Alla heard him she gives no indication.

Access Granted: Welcome to Netrunner Operations Control

Every legendary ‘runner should have one, wouldn’t you say chooms? 😎🤘🏼

Spent the last eight months building and programming everything to turn my lonely server rack into a control center (albeit within certain building constraints).

Edgeruners 2 Teaser but it's VHS (digital)

Well, I saw someone saying Edgerunners 2 has a 90s anime vibe. Somehow that got into my head, and I thought to myself, well, it would be nice if I could try and make it look even more like one.

Of course, I'm not really an animator, so redrawing it was out of the question. Then I thought of, at the very least, making it look like it was recorded in the 90s so I tried doing some color grading, audio, panning and scanning and then video processing, and that's the final result. I took some creative liberties so it may not be the most accurate, but I like it.

Made using NTSC RS in DaVinci Resolve for the video and XLN Audio RC-20 for the audio.

Edit: Reddit's compression wasn't kind to it but you can find a better version on youtube under the same title.

Vik can be seen as the foil of V: he doesn't have a dream, he is satisfied with his life, he doesn't fight the system. But is Vik happy in your opinion?

While V is clearly written to be as empty as possible, so that every player could "fit" in V's shoes, V still has an underline drive after the prologue: achieve fame. It's openly stated in Tapeworm. And Jackie is a driving force that pushes V toward this goal in act 1.

Vik, on the other hand, it's quite the opposite. A character foil. He had his glory days, but he faded in mediocrity. He has friends, he is well inserted in his community, he is notorious, but on a more humble scale. He doesn't have a dream nor a goal. He seems satisfied with his life. As we see in The Tower, when the system knocks on his door, he opens the door. When the system punches him in the face, he take it and doesn't return the punch.

He isn't fighting anymore. He flows with the current.

This is somehow unique in Cyberpunk 2077, as most characters we meet have some impossible goal or dream and they are constantly fighting to accomplish. Jackie, Panam, So Mi, Goro, Yorinobu, Evelyn, Judy... everyone has their sight on something, and dreams of getting that something. They fight. Some of them get a happy ending, most of them don't.

But Vik's path... is it a happy one or a sad one? Is Vik a defeated that simply tries to stay afloat, or maybe, he is the only clever guy that understood how to achieve true happiness in a rough, rough world?

What's your take?

I can't bring myself to do any other ending than The Star

I really wanna experience all the other endings but i just cant.

The main issue i have with all the other endings is if i do them i won't be happy with Judy :(

I'm also having trouble with NOT romancing Judy, i just can't stop! :D

The only workaround i have in mind is playing male v cus that will physically stop me from romancing Judy but i REALLY like playing Female V.

What do i do? :(

I need some mental workaround to NOT romance Judy or do some other ending while romanced to her.

Photos of the Glen Apartment

I decided to take photos of the entire glen apartment. This apartment in my opinion is the best apartment in the game.

We only got 4 romance options. If CDPR had decided to add more, who would you choose? I'm not talking about a one-night stand; I mean a complete romance arc that fits into the story. Who would you pick, and how would you make it work?

The screenshots are just here for inspiration, not as a list.

Pick any character you'd want to see as a romance option; as long as you think they could fit into the story with a convincing, fully developed romance.

How seriously do you take your roleplaying as V? +V appreciation because I can’t help it

I overthink everything I make V say and do. I have super OCD when it comes to making sure V is a consistent character.

I feel like each life path gives V a totally different arc depending on each ending too there’s so much variation and then you throw the moral dilemmas of phantom liberty in there it’s like ahhh!

But I will go back 30 minutes to a save if I didn’t like my dialogue choice for the V I’m playing. Even on really useless stuff like conversations that I know aren’t really consequential but I decided eh no I want V to be nice here or show interest or be mean actually.

It feels like every playthrough you can have a different relationship with Johnny a different personality, a different arc, treat your friends differently. It’s overwhelming in the best way.

V is the most human protagonist I’ve ever seen in a game almost no matter what I do. Really props to the actors and dialogue writers for making V feel like an actual person that I want to respect.

I love when V crouches next to Reed in the desert and he puts his hand on the ground for a second and he recoils exclaiming at how hot the ground is. It’s in a serious moment too but it’s so natural! There are so many moments like that, in phantom liberty too, where V as a character dances the line so well between being just a person and a superhero and the different aspects of their personality.

They deserve so much credit for what they did with V I’ve never seen such a naturally behaving protagonist. So many examples of how they did it right when it so easily could’ve been done wrong or come across as corny.

Sorry to ramble a little bit off topic. To me V makes the game. They’re awesome it wouldn’t be the same without them, even though it has so many other great parts that deserve credit too. V’s the cherry on top imo.
