Alright my husband‘s car was smoking under the hood and they quoted us for the main concern of $6300 repair, see picture attached. It is a 2019 Mazda cx-5. We owe about 11 K on it. Is it worth getting another opinion? Should we cut our losses and get a different car all together ? Is this a reasonable price for this kind of repair, it seems a bit much? My dad is a helicopter mechanic or was when he was young and he said it is a bit high. Just looking for suggestions as it seems a bit crazy to spend $6300 on a repair when we owe 11 K. And we recently spent 2K on some brakes and other things that needed to be fixed. Thanks for any thoughts and advice!
