I almost met an escort, she might have seen me and then blocked me. How screwed am I?
Using a throwaway for obvious reasons. I’m in Jordan and I did something incredibly stupid tonight. I know it was a mistake, I’m not looking for a moral lecture .. I need someone to give me the cold, hard truth about my legal situation. Please don’t sugarcoat. I need exact probabilities if you can.
Here’s what happened:
I found an escort/prostitute on a website that lists numbers openly. I contacted her on WhatsApp. We negotiated a price. I explicitly asked about condoms, she said she didn’t have any, so I bought one on the way. I reached the location she gave (an apartment building). When I got there and messaged, she told me to walk down the street so she could “see me” from above. She called me and asked “Are you wearing [specific clothing I had on]?” I said yes. She then said something like “okay keep walking” and ended the call. Moments later, she blocked my number and apparently deleted our entire chat
I never entered the building. No money changed hands. No physical contact. But I am absolutely terrified she photographed me from the window when I was walking, because she knew exactly what I was wearing and confirmed it on the call. I’m scared she might report me to the police or the cybercrime unit out of spite, or maybe as part of some blackmail/extortion setup later.
I need someone who understands Jordanian law... What are the actual chances that I end up with a police record or criminal charges from this? Can an incomplete attempt like this even be prosecuted if she had a photo and some chat logs? ... How worried should I be about her using this for extortion? If I get blackmail threats, what’s the safest move?
My heart is still pounding. I know I messed up. I just need to know if my life is about to be ruined over a stupid, unconsummated moment of weakness.
