Looking to buy a new car and to be honest, I have no idea where to start. There seem to be a lot of great options.

I have a toddler in a rear facing car seat and she needs some more room. We currently drive a Golf.

I am looking for something under 50k so I can get the tax credit. Also, what does the heat pump do? I assume because there is no ICE, there is no heat generated by the car itself and that is why a heat pump is needed. I assume in Canada it is a must have.
