I keep seeing CGDs and their minions keep throwing two arguments on why lads revenue took a hit:
Which both of them are contradictory if you zoom out a bit.
Lets suppose for the sake of argument that the global side didnt have noticeable effect and its the result of the cow shit girls.
For the first argument we all know its baseless, we had two important reruns for the first half of the month and both of them did poorly and for the last two weeks while i understand but the promise cards were also rerunning (i couldnt find data for the last promise rerun) but we know its profitable esp when it have one of the most iconic cards in the game.
Yes they started boycotting when valko was revealed but why did the boycott continue after the cancellation letter? Remember that it was during GOA rerun (its first rerun which is a big loss if you dont have the pair already) and the cancellation of valko was FRESH which means the argument that 'PPG was mistreating them' was invalid since in letter they promised them everything they wanted (communication and focusing on og3+dlc2) so logically the first days after valko's cancelation the revenue should be go up (since we didnt know the silence that PPG will throw at us) but thats not what we saw at all.
Look at the first graph , I know it just estimation but they were also using the same stats to back their words.
Before Valko there was already a big decline anyway but notice how it doesnt drop alot after his reveal? infact it only get worse after his cancelation -remember we still had zayne's myth banner running -a banner where you need to pull twice for one of the best combat myths- you want to tell me for more than a week the cn jasmines didnt want to support their man? and for what? a canceled guy and promise for a better treatment? mind you zayne get a better treatment that sylus or caleb so they cant use the argument 'well he still lack his content so we're still boycotting'
They couldnt prove they could sustain the game themselves and it was proven once again with WIW rerun, one of the most iconic and anticipated reruns and it still flopped (with promise rerun).
Then which one is true? if you only look at the first two weeks we had two famous banners and CDGs got their demands and even the media was backing and spreading their lies so why didnt they open their wallet to prove they could sustain the game?
So again for my first point, we all know that rafayel's myth was going to be released this month and i dont think that infold were purposly throwing their poster boy into this mess just to milk his myth (altho i do suspect they revealed that information to keep the players from quitting), They knew it will be fat mistake to shadow droppe him without pv so even with the hypothical gag order they knew they could at least promote his stuff (and they could ban the word valko to keep us from making a fuzz) but they didnt because unlike this idiots PPG realized we're dead serious with our stance (no doggie no money).
Let think about it, if the actually contributer were the CDGs . Dropping rafayel's myth without any further statement about valko would've only confirmed their stance on valko's cancelation therefore going back to schedule would've quelled their anger and they will be back to spend money again.
Yet they didn't even bother dropping another rerun and thats because the GLOBAL MATTERS , the global makes up at least 40% of infold's revenue (and thats HUGE considering we're out numbered by the cn players) this explains why valko feel 'western' because he was made for us and to attract more global players. PPG fucked the moment they pulled him not only they destroyed our trust as one of their main cash pockets but also their reputation and any chance to attract the global market with their new AAA game. and i am ready to bet with my first child is that they know this better than anyone else. Thats why they contradicted their statement for a second time because (thank god) their brain is bigger than their ego and they know whatever revenue rafayel's myth will bring will be huge loss compared to what they would've milked out of him if they dont bring valko back.
So in summary i dont believe the boycott was only caused by the CN side for the above reasons and dont let any idiot manipulate you into thinking that we dont contribute anything (the girlcott was done only by the global side and they actually gave up to most of their demands)
So today we have interesting development, in this article released in People's Daily app it talks about the strong growth in both domestic revenue and overseas expansion for Chinese game developers. It also announces the launch of China’s first public service platform dedicated to helping game companies expand internationally.
This came up with the conversation of Hoyoverse's ceo talking about the importance of global fans and thanking both the global and chinese players for their supports (look here for more info).
Now it seems the cn gaming companies will start acknowledging their global audiance more/investing resources for games to go global. By cancelling valko not only they disrespected his developers/Va's/cosplayers but are only enabeling this awful behaviors, if they can be forced to kill a whole damn character they might as well force them to close the global server (like what they did in shinning nikki for the korean one)

From the proofs above we can conclude that Valko should be now associated with recycling emoji not only because it represent sustainability and promote eco-friendly practices.But to prove that we can turn the hate of those people into something positive.

I've seen a comment point this out and i wanted to share my prespective as well.
I am not here to give hopecore or do copemaxing but i really want to try to understand infold's actions which proved to be way harder than my topology course.
After the cancellation of valko they gave us all his related content from general poses to the mc's outfits and photobooth background, now here's the thing , i am sure when they first made the decision they were adamant not to bring valko back so why give us his stuff?a cheap compensation? they already did that with the 30 pulls and they know as much as us its a slap to the face to us who were anticipating valko , its like giving up dead man's clothes (and funny enough i've seen some people want his cards to be reworked to the other LIs).
I believe they gave us his stuff because there's no reason not to, now hear me out , the poses and outfits must've costed money to create so giving them up outweigh the cost of not doing so.
And this is how i feel about valko, when he was released he received so much heat (that even infold had to come out and play pretend so those morons will give valko a chance) i felt like nearly no one wanted him especially so from the chinese side, and with the SA allegation (which i think its the main reseason why they changed their mind so quickly after giving us that false promise not to cancel him) i believe infold thought that valko is not a character worth investing in. yes he costed money but his future content will cost MORE money and if no one wants him who will pay for him?
I dont have any doubts that infold are under a gag order but this doesnt mean they can no longer promote their stuff,or at least give us another rerun but they didnt. BECAUSE THE TIDE HAS CHANGED.
I dont believe for a second infold actually predicted that the global fans will riot this much for him, this idiots actually believed that by cancelling him we will forget about him within a week or two and go back to play hence they didnt drop any other rerun because they know they will lose more money than if they dont run anything at all.
And now that they created one of the biggest martyrs in gaming history i do want to believe they are outweighing the benefits and drawbacks of bringing him back.
Which brings me to the next point, the goverment articles that are coming out now in favor of valko,from my quick research regular chinese citizens cant buy or repost articles in goverment affiliated sites so whoever is paying for this articles either the ccp or infold. I dont think its infold because why now? they could've cleared his name last month but they didnt so it must be the ccp , now why do they care about a canceled character? even more so why do they care about the global efforts of bringing him back? the answer is MONEY , they know infold have fat cashcow in their hands so if they released him his tax money will go to their pockets.
So in summary infold never intended to bring back valko because he's failed investment but after seeing the online uproar and the flopping ofGOA and WIW reruns i hope they are actually considering their options now if they want to save the game. they may lose thousands of chinese players if he came back (but i highly doubt that since most of them have a weird parasocial relationship with the guys) but they will lose the global market as whole if he doesnt.
An otome love interest without bangs and fades is such nouvelty to me .
You can tell his team poured all their hearts into sculpting his face into the atmost perfection , not only to make him handsome but to mirroring the face of a wolf as close as possible.
You can see that in his strong jaw and highlited cheek countor (to emphasize wolves strong bites)
Valko have a wider chin and forehead from other guys which i think makes him more masculine and less dorit faced and give him more face harmony.
While i dont have enough evidence to support the next claim but i did notice that valko's lower teeth are more prominant compared to the other guys which i think make sense because wolves have even bites so you can see both his lower and front teeths more frequently ( i am not dentist so anyone correct me if i am bullshitting)
So the choice of freed forehead is very curious thing , while i feel like they were kind of inspired by jacob from twilight i also like to believe they wanted everyone to see his face to its fullest because usually bangs can be very destracting and hide alot of face details (and the fact he looks almost as good without his hair which is a real accomplishment if you ask me , his developers made 10/10 face card), while also wanting to give him a clean/rich CEO look. (those fades are sexy af)
Next his body , valko have very obvious SERRATUS ANTERIOR which could be for two reasons, either a lower body fat or from very specific exercises. and i am enclided to the former since wolves have a lower body fat percentage compared to other mamals (around 13%and because he have a very highlighted neck muscles) .
And also whats interesting is that valko have nearly 1:1 of shoulder-hip ratio you can see in comparision to the other guys (which again because he's WOLF).
So ya our boy is no AI bs but was made with only love and care.

Our chinese sisters organaized a stand in that costed more than 500$ for valko with more than 300 letters from both the chinese and global fans ! people came (and maybe hopefully infold's staff) and read them (please go here for more lovely pictures ).

Its just shows you how much this movement is filled with love , we were attacked and insulted in so many levels yet alot of us made sure to turn hate into something positive to share it with real world .

The cn revenue is atrocious , GOA and promise/WIW rerun is less than half of what they used to make so i cant imagine how much worse the global contribution could be (which is worse than the impact those psycho did )
Some could argue that TECHNICALLY they can sustain themselves with current revenue if they dont bring back valko but i doubt they believe that they can keep the game alive for 10 years with same quality we've seen in the recent cards .
So are they abandoning the game ? planning to serve mediocre content with rectonned story (or leave it with plothole since they dont care anymore ) without ever addressing the issue since they know the solo mains at least will always pay for their men with or without valko .
Or are they planning to risk it with rafayel myth ? with how inflop is acting clueless to our problems and concerns i fully believe they think the fourth myth will shut us up .
And here's the weird thing if there's still some brain cells left in the head of their management they KNOW valko will bring profit , you can see how revenue spiked the day valko was announced and immediatly tanked (and still is ) when they cancelled him so dont they want to save the game ? The game was actually starting to get less and less in revenue before valko (which I suspect this is why they held onto him until now) and with the boycott its only going to get worse .

I am not sure if its my frustration with infold is leaking through my eyes but i am not happy at all with how zayne's new card look , from the fact we didnt get a pv for it to the way it was presented .
After watching the leaked pv i become more angry because not only they gave him a cold weathed clothes in beach they gave the mc that old boring green dress and in top of that they had hid her face too like really infold??
