New to ecobee could use some help
So to add some back story I have wanted a new thermostat because my last one was complete garbage and wouldnt even connect to my internet. The ecobee has so many settings i'm feeling overwhelmed. I live in minnesota for context and like the house on the cooler side. I have a 2 story home and have 1 sensor downstairs and the thermostat upstairs. My house is frequently about 8 degrees different from downstairs to upstairs. I work odd hours and don't keep a similar schedule but I do usually go to bed around 2-3am and wake up around 10-12pm. I was considering not doing any daily schedule because my days off change but would it be smart to do just a sleep schedule and then program away/home temp to sense movement? how long does a the sensor think im home before it swaps to away if it doesn't sense movement. Any settings or tips are appreciated currently I disabled eco+ and changed the temp diff to 1degree instead of .5 and added a temp offset to account for the thermostat being slightly off.
