Fences

Anyone here have experience with a shared fence that needs replacement with multiple neighbors here? My backyard fence is shared with 4 other houses. I’ve spoken to 2 of the residents a couple of times but haven’t really heard anything back.
My question is how does it work with so many people and the fact that permits are needed for basic fences? I’ve replaced fences before with no issue but I’ve never lived anywhere with so many neighbors and the need for a permit.
The entire fence needs replacing so is it best to get several estimates and see if they will break down the cost by foot or itemize length per shared section then reach out to the neighbors? I don’t think it’s unreasonable to have neighbors share the cost since the new fence will benefit everyone.
Or, whose fence is it?

These particular pickles

I was in Kyoto a couple weeks ago and ate at Hyakuten Manten for lunch one day, a small place near Nishiki Market. Curry ramen and karaage with a few chūhais. Very tasty. And the bonus pickles, the red ones, in the pic. Does it have a specific name? Pretty sure it’s daikon and red shiso with sesame seeds. Been craving it since I’ve gotten back and would love to make or buy them here in the states. Any help would be great!
