Brake Pad Wear

I just changed my own pads for the first time so I am not familiar with wear patterns from overheating vs normal wear. These are Carbotech 1521s (street) and I just installed Carbotech XP8 (track-prebedded). My plan is to drive to the track day, track and drive home on XP8. Then swap back to 1521. Are these 1521s good to be swapped back in that way with the same rotors? There is plenty of pad left just not sure if there is any sign of overheating. I previously took the 1521s for one track day. They performed ok but left some uneven material wear especially on the front rotors. I am new to the track so probably need to get better with smoother braking as well. Lastly I also scrapped the “boomer caliper covers” put on by the previous owner lol. Those probably were not helping to cooling on the 1521s for the first track day. I took pics in direct sunlight from a few angles to show reflective / wear spots

Are these rotors overheated?

The shop I went to mentioned these rotors and pads looked like they had been overheated even though there is plenty of wear left. Asking for a second opinion here - they looked fine to me but I’m new to the track. Any chance to use again or save them? These are stock spec rotors and CARBOTECH 1521 pads on a stock 2006 corvette
