Auction Purchase: 2013 Audi S6
The backstory: I just bought this car at a salvage auction last week. I bought it sight unseen off of just pictures (no test drive, pre purchase inspection etc) so it was a major gamble. It got towed 350 miles from the salvage yard and I finally got the post purchase inspection done today.
Pros:
Runs and Drives
New battery
Wheels are OEM
Appears unmodified
Transmission shifts smooth
Seats are worn but not ripped
Stereo works and still sounds amazing
Checked VIN: no open recalls so I assume oil screen was replaced
No rust
Clean title, no collision/frame damage/rust visible
Suspension and exhaust are ok
I won’t have a car payment
Cons:
Will need new 4 Michelin tires. Tires are flat and completely bald
Will need brakes, rotors, brake fluid flush, filters
Has oil leaks
Check engine light shows random codes and shop said it’s from how long it sat at the auction yard. I’ll need to drive it before they can determine what issues it might have.
