Outsider perspective: are my nipples positioned too low?
Hey Reddit. I’m looking for some perspective from people who don’t know me personally, because I think it would be helpful to get an unbiased opinion.
I’ve been considering getting a revision of my top surgery. Overall I’m pretty happy with my results, but there‘a only one thing that’s been bugging me since my surgery in 2019 (Calgary AB, Canada), and its that I feel like my nipples are too low, especially my left one.
My family thinks I’m overthinking it and that they look completely fine, but I’m curious what an outside perspective would be.
Do my nipples look noticeably low to you, or am I being overly critical? I’m genuinely open to either answer. I’m mostly trying to figure out whether this is something that’s actually noticeable or if it’s just something I’ve fixated on because I know my own body so well.
Thanks in advance!
Edit:
I originally wrote the following in the comments but figured I’d paste it in the body of my post so it comes up right away:
Thanks everyone for the responses! I go to the gym though not as consistently as I’d like lolol life. I also have a poorer mind-muscle connection with my left pec so that’s something I’m going to work on.
My surgery was done by Dr. Temple-Oberle and her fellow at the time (super kind). They didn’t remove and reposition my nipples but made the incisions, performed the double mastectomy, and then connected the remaining tissue and sutured everything together. So my nipples were never completely removed and grafted back on.
I think that probably contributes to them looking more natural but it was my only concern that because they weren’t repositioned, they may have ended up sitting a little too low.
I’m going to see if I can develop a better mind-muscle connection and build up my left pec a bit more, and then go from there. Thanks again everyone for all the feedback!
