14700k Overclocking
I want to make a discussion about overclocking on the intel 14th gen CPUs mainly the 14700k.
I've been trying different things for months.
I have turned E cores on and off several times. Set the ring ratio to 50, down clock, overclocked my core ratio.
Set AC/DC lower, LLC turbo, adaptive undervolt.
I know using DDR4 4000Mts might be a limiting factor but I have adjusted the timings to get the most of out it.
I have a Z790 aorus elite AX DDR4.
GPU: 9070 XT Nitro+
DDR4 OC to 4000MTs CL18, trfc 560, tfaw 16, trefi 65535, gear 1 and command rate 1.
I'm probably being greedy cause my games run near perfectly but I feel like I could get a slightly better 1% lows result and avg FPS. I notice every tiny stutter even if less 1.0% especially in high speed driving in horizon 6.
Before I get to much into it, just want to know who has overclocked the 14700k and what's the best results you got? I also need to know if I should leave e cores on or off due to the higher ring ratio.
Also should I disable intels default profile, or does that mess with the microcode?
