Undelivered order

The other day, I put in a grocery order. It wasn't huge or difficult. I had it set for 10am-1pm delivery.

I received a message at 9:55am that shopping was beginning. At 10:30, I was notified that my shopper had checked out and would be heading my way and gave me an estimated time of 11:15.

I was busy and not paying attention to the clock. At noon, I noticed the time and checked in with the app. My delivery time had been changed to 12:15-12:30. It said my driver was making another delivery nearby.

At 1:05, I messaged my shopper and asked if everything was ok. The time kept getting pushed back, and I messaged her every half hour, and got no response. Of course, the instacart help chat was completely useless. Finally, at 5pm, I was able to get my order cancelled and refunded for a full refund.

Why would someone shop my order, then clearly not deliver it? Will the shopper have repercussions for this? She was a platinum shopper. I assumed that meant she had earned a higher "rank." Maybe I'm wrong?

Sorry, maybe I just wanted to complain.
