2020 Corsair transmission jerking
I have a FWD 2.0L Corsair, 82,000m, that jerks between 1800-2000 RPMS for about 2 years now, this is a common issue with these transmissions it seems but it got worse so I had the transmission fluid and the mechanic called me and told me it was significantly post change and recommends a total transmission replacement.
There were some “pending” error codes but no confirmed codes P0762, P2702.
After driving it for a few days I do think it’s slightly worse but no check engine lights come on.
I’ve had some mixed opinions of other Lincoln owners saying that a lot of these cars have this issue and it’s not necessary to replace the transmission due to this unless it fails completely but I don’t really want to get stranded on my way to work or something.
A transmission repair shop agreed changing the transmission was almost certainly the best option but they haven’t had the vehicle, just this information.
Cost is not that big of a concern, I can have it replaced if need be but I don’t want to replace something this expensive that may end up with the same exact issue eventually, especially if it’s just unnerving and not a huge issue.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
