What’s working for me with PCOS/IR- FIBER!!!

Zepbound was honestly the only thing that ever really helped my PCOS. My hunger, weight, insulin resistance, and cycles all improved. I stopped it 5 months ago because we’re TTC, and the hunger + weight gain came back HARD. I gained 20 lbs back but I’ve been working hard to drop 10-15 of it.

After a lot of trial and error, I think I’ve finally figured out what works for me: metformin + myo-inositol/D-chiro + protein/fiber + sugar-free Metamucil once a day + weightlifting 4x a week.

The Metamucil has been a GAME CHANGER. I’ve only been taking it for 3 days, but I’m staying full between meals, barely snacking, and my sugar cravings are basically gone!!! Shifting my focus from protein to fiber has truly made the biggest difference for me personally out of everything. Obviously it’s not Zepbound and doesn’t replace a GLP-1, but I’m so happy I’m finally getting my hunger under control.

TTC

Has anyone stayed on Zepbound while TTC until you get a positive test? It’s the only thing that helps my IR PCOS. I’ve been off of it for 5 months now and I’ve gained 20 lbs back and I feel like garbage every day. The brain fog and food noise is insane. I have read so many studies and lots of people’s stories on Reddit that they stopped as soon as they got a positive and baby was happy and healthy. My cycle has started to get wonky being off zep and I just am desperate to get back on as this makes it harder to track ovulation.I know you should be off it 2 months prior to TTC, and please no one yell at me for this post! I’m just looking for real life experience of getting pregnant on a GLP and stopping as soon as you get a positive. Benefits and risks and what not.

UPDATE: Talked to my OB and she is pro me staying on it until a get a positive pregnancy test yayyyy

Bloating

The only thing that’s helped me with bloating is zepbound but obviously you cannot be on that when you’re TTC. Does anyone have anything OTC that’s TTC safe for bloating I’m so miserable. I miss zepbound so much 😭 thanks, PMOS.

I miss zepbound - TTC

Has anyone started taking metformin after stopping zep while TTC? I’m going to be a lifer with zepbound. I’m planning to get right back on it after I give birth but in the meantime my OB has prescribed metformin. Guess I’m just looking for proof it helps with inflammation and food noise??

It’s crazy how crappy I feel not being on zepbound. It’s for a good cause but man, I miss it 😭

Zepbound changed my life!!

Lost 77 lbs, regulated my cycle and am trying to get pregnant currently so I went off zep. I am amazed and how much better I felt on the medication. Has anyone come off zep and taken metformin during pregnancy/while trying to get pregnant? I feel like crap daily I’ve been off for 2 months.

Can’t nail down ovulation?

I hate PCOS so much. We’ve been TTC for 6 months now which I know is not that long but it feels like 8 years to me.

I lost 77 lbs last year and my cycle has regulated but I keep missing my ovulation window. I use natural cycles and I keep missing the predicted window because we try and then all of the sudden NC is telling me jk you ovulated last week. So it’s all for not.

I’m trying to not stress myself out but I did end up ordering ovulation testing strips but I still can’t nail down my ovulation. My OB said at the 6 month mark we can consider an ovulation medication so I have an appointment tomorrow.

I guess I’m just curious if anyone else legit cannot nail down their ovulation!! I think I’m a rapid riser but even then I’m having all the signs and symptoms (discharge, ovulation pain, etc) and it’s aligning with NC but the testing strips are negative. This is so frustrating I just want a baby 😭
