Been talking to this girl for weeks, great phone call, but her texting patterns are driving me insane am I overthinking this?
So there’s this girl in my year group at university. We started talking a few weeks ago, hit it off pretty quickly, good banter, she was receptive. I had exams so I went quiet for a bit and she actually texted me to wish me good luck which I thought was a good sign.
We got back talking, the banter was good, she sent me voice notes, eventually gave me her number and we had a phone call that lasted almost 2 hours. She was laughing, asking me questions, opening up about her life. By every measure it was a great call.
The problem is her texting. She consistently leaves me on delivered for hours, sometimes a full day. She disappears without warning. Then she comes back like nothing happened. She even went quiet for 3 days and came back with a long explanation about debate prep, hostel issues and personal stuff which I believe, but the pattern keeps repeating.
When she does reply the energy is good. But the inconsistency is messing with my head. I like this girl genuinely and have for a while. I don’t know if she’s just a slow texter, keeping me at arm’s length, or genuinely busy.
