4 weeks

It has been 4 weeks. I am slowly working things out, remnants of new routines, snippets of old ones.

None of the pamphlets they gave me really prepared me for this, just a knot in my body and my soul.

I am very very slowly catching up on all the things that didn't get done while I care for her (for 9 months), focussing on things with no emotional content - old bills, pantry stuff, that sort of thing.

The things I miss the most is having her around to chat with, and at night as we would often go to sleep holding hands, or holding each other.

I've found it very comforting to wear one of her camisoles at night, and the tiniest dot (just a rub of the sprayer) of her perfume on my wrist in the daytime. Not sure if anyone has noticed the perfume, but I don't care. She was smaller than me so hoodies, etc don't fit.

What did others do that helped at this early stage?
