Am I overreacting when my partner views explicit content?
To give you context, my boyfriend(20M) has stated that he is perfectly happy with me(20F) and that he doesn’t care what I look like, that he’ll still love me no matter what I look like. So, why does he still view explicit content? Over time I have learned to have less of a problem with it, he has even convinced me to send lewd pictures of female anime or game characters because he says he thinks it’s “funny”. The issue I have is; he is telling me that I’m everything he could want(1). He has a history of staying friends with his exes, and doesn’t like when I stay friends with mine(2). Lastly, I have expressed in every way possible that I no longer care what he views, I do request that he’s open about it and doesn’t hide things from me. I try to satisfy him as much as I can, and he has stated that he dislikes viewing intimate videos and that it makes him uncomfortable, but he doesn’t let me look at his phone(I snuck it, I know I am very very wrong for breaching his privacy, I was afraid of cheating.) and he periodically sends me to our bedroom to “sleep” and refuses to explain why he wants me to go to bed. I have done everything I can to show him that I don’t care, I just want to know, but his strange actions around me are continuing to make me feel worried. Do you have any advice/critiques for me or just to tell me that I am overreacting. Thank you.
