My wife and I continue to explore Eates, RMNP and surrounding areas. Every day, and time of day, reveals new wonders. The morning light and the way it's refracted makes for the best viewing IMO.
New things we have seen this week and strongly recommend to visitors:
Go to Glen Haven via Old Gulch Road. This takes you past the mountain coaster. Glen Haven has a cute general store and excellent cinnamon rolls. But it's the view on the way back that is worth it (pic attached)
Lily Lake. This is not a hidden gem per se, but definitely make your way to the lookout point just northwest of the lake There will be a trail, but attache photo shows you a pin and it provides one of the most beautiful views into the park’s meadows with the mountains in the back. You can spot Many Parks Overlook from this spot. The photo from this vantage point is the third image and the one with rocks in the lower right foreground.
Just found the show in May of 2026. I am in my mid 50s and introduced into weed culture a few years back. And I don't think I have found many things that compliment and good smoke the way this animated world does, except for the Trailer Park Boys.
Sassy is like a got dammed Yogi. His ‘series’ is one of the most comforting things I have ever watched, along with he and Lez’s scene in season 3 finale when Lez is tripping on Chumma Island.
I also made the mistake of watching Mike Nolan Show before TBLS and fuck if I could bare understand a word. But after a couple seasons of TBLS, my brain adapted lol.
