Will my 11-month-old conch close overnight
I was cleaning my 11-month-old conch piercing tonight. I wasn't doing anything different from my usual routine. I sprayed it with NeilMed saline and was gently drying around it with a Q-tip. I guess the jewelry had come loose because the entire labret (internally threaded titanium post and end) fell out pretty easily.
I tried putting the post back in, but it was slightly painful, so I stopped because I didn't want to force it or damage the piercing.
I contacted my piercer, and the earliest she can see me is 1:00 PM tomorrow. It's currently 10:30 PM where I am, so the piercing will be without jewelry for about 14–15 hours.
For those who've had something similar happen:
Did your conch stay open that long?
Was your piercer able to taper the jewelry back in?
Or did it close up completely?
I'm honestly really anxious since it's almost a year old, but I'm not sure if it's fully healed yet. Any experiences or advice would be appreciated.
