Muscle pain while peeing?
I’m mostly here to ask if I should reach out to a doctor. For the past 5 days or so I’ve (f19) had weird symptoms with my vagina. At first it was pain while urinating but not the burning common with a UTI. It was more like muscle tension deep in my pelvis that would make it difficult to completely empty my bladder. I was also sore in my vagina all around. I figured it was a bruised cervix because the timing checked out.
Then I likely messed up. I waited a day or so and there was no pain, so I was active with my partner again. Now I am sore again with the same symptoms around peeing. There is also a slight itching inside my vagina. I haven’t noticed any weird smells or changes in my discharge, so I’m not sure if it is a yeast infection. My symptoms have dulled a bit but not gone away in the past few days. Should I reach out to a medical professional? I want to ask my mom but I don’t want her to know I’m sexually active and it would mean I would have to tell her. I know she will get me an appointment with the gyno if I ask her though.
Edit to add: I was fully tested for STI/STDS about a year ago and it all came back negative. I haven’t had any new partners since then, and my current partner hasn’t either (from what I know lol)
