Daycare/Childcare Advice
Hi mamas! I am expecting my first baby and am starting to think about childcare. We live in the DC metro area so child care is competitive with long waitlists.
We are unfortunately not in a place yet for me to stay home with baby. I’m hoping two years and we can move and I can take a step back from work. For now, I have a job that is very travel heavy. When I’m not traveling, it is very flexible and WFH. My coworkers are also moms and are very understanding but it doesn’t get me out of travel (2-4 times a month). I’m hesitant to do daycare Because of the hours. We would like support for when I’m on the road (husband works in office). But when I’m not, I want to be taking care of baby myself. Any recommendation on options that may be flexible. In a perfect world we would have a nanny who we can schedule out 1 or 2 months in advance, but that’s it. No commitment to 9-5 M-F. I know this will be tough but thought I’d ask!
