Resawed 12' of 6" wide South American walnut today on the Wen 3962 bandsaw.
I bought this bandsaw for 100 bucks to help with this project. I replaced some crusty guide bearings, put a Timberwolf 3/4 tpi blade on it, and i was actually pretty surprised at how well it did. Ive been using it for lots of other things but finally got around to the big resaw job today. The blade even left a pretty nice surface so i have minimal planing to do now. If anyone is considering a small bandsaw for their shop i definitely recommend this one, and if you can get it used for 100 bucks its a no brainer. I'll be using this a lot, most of my projects are smaller and dont need a full 3/4" thick board. Being able to quickly resaw to 1/2 or 3/8 will help keep my projects a bit lighter and elegant, not to mention the utility of cutting nice curves!
