I went down a rabbit hole trying to understand what I actually own across ETFs like VOO and VGT.

I assumed I was diversified, but once you look at underlying holdings, there’s a lot of overlap and it’s not very transparent.

I tried a few different tools/spreadsheets and most of them were either:

- too manual

- not very clear

- or didn’t really show total exposure in a useful way

I ended up finding something that actually breaks it down in a way that made sense (like showing total % exposure to individual stocks across ETFs)

It honestly surprised me how concentrated I was in a few names

Curious if anyone else has gone down this path or if most people just ignore ETF overlap?

I’ve been trying to get a clearer picture of my portfolio, especially with ETFs, and I’m struggling to find something that actually breaks things down the way I want.

What I’m looking for:

See overlap between ETFs (like if I own the same stock across multiple funds)

Total exposure to individual stocks across everything

Ideally supports importing from brokerages or CSV

Clean/simple UI (not super bloated)

I’ve looked at a few options but most either don’t go deep enough on ETF holdings or are just clunky.

What are you guys using?

Edit: Thanks to comments, I found https://clearscopeps.com . I’m still messing with it but it is legit so far. I uploaded my CSVs from Robinhood, and Fidelity and it shows my holding in one place. I can also see that i indirectly own ALOT of Nvidia thanks to VGT.
