Burning MP3 CDs from Music
I know, insert the Robin Williams "what year is it?" meme. But I have an older car stereo with a CD player and want to have a couple MP3 CDs in there. I have a large music library, Samsung and Pioneer Blu-Ray/DVD/CD burners, and a stack of Verbatim CD-R's (52x speed).
But I'm having a couple headaches:
First is Music only lets you burn MP3s (will not automatically convert AACs to MP3 even if they're not DRMed). Fine I changed my preferences to import to 192kbps MP3 then chose the "covert" and it made an MP3 copy. However because the AAC and the MP3 is in the library, any time I try to add the MP3 to a playlist to have something I want to burn, it adds the AAC instead. Then when I go to burn it tells me those AAC files are not compatible.
The second issue is when I do get a playlist of just MP3s and choose "burn disk" (selecting MP3 Disk) it goes for a few songs and then says "The attempt to burn a disc failed. An unknown error occurred (-54)." the total disk size is about 84 songs and about 485MB. Tried on both writers.
Any suggestions for either of these problems? Or is it better to get a 3rd party program for this?
