Is anyone else facing this issue?
I’ve been experiencing this bug for the last 6 months. It first started on my iPhone 13, which was always running the latest version of iOS. I thought it was a device-specific issue.
I recently upgraded to an iPhone 17 Pro, which is also on the latest iOS version, but the exact same problem still happens.
Most of the time, when I open the App Library and tap the search bar, the keyboard doesn’t appear, so I can’t search for apps. A restart fixes it temporarily, but after some time the issue comes back. Sometimes it starts working again on its own, but the bug keeps recurring.
Has anyone else experienced this or found a permanent fix?

Greetings to everybody. Recently I had bought an iPhone 17 for a reasonably good price of 760€ in discount, marketed as new, now that should make me suspicious from the get go. It was marketed as an EU phone (since I’m in the EU) but I ended up receiving an imported Indian phone which bore BIS certification (the store marketed both EU and Indian spec iPhones).

Anyways I’ve already sent it back and asked for a replacement which they’ve agreed to and I’m on the verge of disputing the charge cause I have no trust in them lol but one thing I’ve noticed on the box that I got was that the label was crooked (see picture) and that the encircled hydrographic seal was visible when taking a photo of the box under sunlight (but not visible with the naked eye, or a picture not under sunlight or while using flash.

I probably got scammed big time but the phone’s IMEI and serial matched the box and the serial came up as not activated yet on apples coverage website. How probable it is that this was a re-seal?

As you can see in the photo, I’ve developed the purple line to death on my screen despite them being no damage to the screen, it was not dropped, cracked or exposed to water. It’s a clear random hardware failure that occurred, I’ve had the phone since launch day basically and replace the battery back in December after it exceeded 1000 cycles and started to throttle the GPU significantly, limiting refresh rate etc even though in battery health it said it was still at 87% and performing fine- it wasn’t, and Apple tried to talk me into just upgrading, but luckily I didn’t trust them and spent $100 to pop a new battery in it and got the phone working like new. But now unfortunately this has happened, and I believe a new screen replacement from Apple is ~$400 USD. I don’t have AppleCare+, and obviously it is now out of warranty however I believe since it was not user error and a clear hardware failure that Apple should replace this for free on a Goodwill basis. I’ve had luck with them doing that in the past with a MacBook a few years back but it took hours on the phone and escalating it to multiple supervisors before they agreed to basically make a one time exception and replace the device. I’m wondering if anyone has had a similar experience and was able to get Apple to cover their repairs, considering I did nothing to damage the phone and this just happened randomly and to me it is a clear indicator of OLED panel failure. It’s clearly hardware related I’ve tried everything from restarts to resets and the issue persists. I’ve called some shops that quote only $149 but that’s for a non-genuine Apple display which I do not want, either an a cheap LCD or an aftermarket cheap OLED that is not up to standards and may cause issues down the line. I’m just not sure what to do here, I love the 15 Pro Max the design and it still works great in 2026 and I do not want to upgrade to the 17 Pro Max which is, imo, unsightly and I don’t wanna spend all that money when I have a perfectly working phone that I prefer. Also the 18 is coming out in just a few months so part of me doesn’t want to upgrade until then if I had to but the purple line of death is bothering me severely every time I look at it, it agitates my OCD and I’ve heard the issue can worsen with time. So I’m not sure what the right course of action is here, ideally Apple will recognize that it was not user error and do a Goodwill repair for free but spending almost $400 to repair the display on a device that’s approaching the three-year-old mark is also hard to swallow. Any advice? Anyone had something similar like this happen and was able to get Apple to do the right thing???

I bought this 16 512 ,m5 a week after price hike at old price.

Since I am a student i have to keep it safely for a couple of years.

Please suggest the necessary accessories for protection if required

And important things to keep in mind about it (like while carrying, using etc).

Stowed my MacBook Pro m1 in the sleeve as I usually do to pick it up a couple of days later completely dead.

Not sure about the battery % when stowed but battery health was good.
Find my shows it at last connected 3 days ago, I guess when it died

Troubleshooting done:
-Left charging overnight with 140w Apple charger
-kept power button pressed 30 sec
-disconnected the battery for a couple of minutes
-tried both usb port, different cables and different wall plugs
-both 60w and 140w chargers and cables working on my iPhone
-can’t enter DFU, iMac doesn’t show it as connected, Apple Configurator wont see it

Inspecting the logic board doesn’t show signs of damages or burned components
I know some current is flowing cause I can feel the classic “Mac bzzz” touching the shell

What can I do now?

It's a scissor switch from a A2449 keyboard (MK with Touch ID)

My 30w charger is not enough because when it involves heavy bass, it pulls part of the electricity from Pill battery, not charger itself.

Has anyone tried Chargers with higher watt?

Yesterday it showed me that it was charging but now it won’t do anything at all? Tried pressing volume buttons then holding the top button but nothing happened

I've been wanting to access my old photos and videos from my dead ipad years ago, but I can't log in because it prompts me to get the code from the dead device. I clicked the use phone number then I clicked the can't use phone number. I don't know what to do now, please help me!!

Ipad Information: Ipad mini 4 Last used: probably 2022-2023? My trusted number is from another country, that I dont live in anymore.

Both earbuds are in the case! These are the gen 3’s. Newest ones.

The Apple Pencil is fully charged, the iPad is the A16 And is not connected to any other pencil.

I have recently bought an Apple 40w dynamic charger in India ( the supplier said that he has sourced it from abroad)

But I genuinely doubt if this is original
This is Apple 40-60w charger comes with no US pin?
Also i cannot hear the click, so when I connect the apple cable

Can someone verify if this is original?
