Am I at risk of losing my job?

I got hired at my job in March, and everything was going smoothly. However, my store recently changed its hours, closing at 11 am on weekdays and 12 am on weekends. Unfortunately, these new hours are too late for me to work. To clarify, the previous hours were closing at 10 am on weekdays and 11 am on weekends.

Although I am a minor, this change is significant. During my interview, I was explicitly asked if I would be comfortable with the store’s previous hours (closing at 10 am and 11 am), and I agreed. I did not agree to these new hours.

To make matters worse, the store did not inform anyone through an official announcement. I only discovered the change through word of mouth from my coworkers.

I’m concerned now about whether my manager will continue to work with me or if I will be fired. What should I do?

Terminal B is weird. Spirit probably controlled over half of the terminal. In the B1 concourse (gates B40-47), spirit had probably over 90% of the traffic there. Now that they’re gone, what’s happening? The next largest is probably Alaska, and they actually just recently downsized at Newark. Then you got small regional ULCCs that maybe fly there once every few days.

Even if United and JetBlue pick up the left over slots, none of them use Terminal B (except for international arrivals), so unless Frontier expands very aggressively, Terminal B will probably stay eerily empty and quiet for a long time.

It’s pretty disappointing, because there’s a lot of jobs, for example the Starbucks and Hudson that could only justify the foot traffic that Spirit provided. So not only will we see the B1 concourse empty, but we’ll probably see a lot of the concession stores located there closing as well.

I don’t even know where to start honestly. I take the bus from school to work on Wednesdays and Fridays and it’s always late. And when I say late I mean by 15-30 minutes. Last week the bus was over half an hour late and I had to pay $30 for an uber to get to work on time.

Today, I was waiting and then the bus just disappeared from the schedule. Once the scheduled arrival time came and went, I called NJ Transit to ask where it was, and after leaving me on hold for 10 minutes, they told me that the bus tracker was off, and they just don’t know where it is, and for all they’re aware the bus may not even come. Now here I am again, for the second time this week, paying $30 for an uber because NJ Transit doesn’t seem to be able to run busses anymore.

Im supposed to have a 15 minute buffer, but it seems like every day I’m rushing to work because the bus is never on time.

I completely get that a bus can’t stick to its schedule 100% of the time because of how unpredictable things can get, but I feel really disappointed that consistently it’s over 15 minutes late, every single time. For some reference, I take the 613 to Mercer Mall, and I’m one of the first stops.

Does anyone else have this issue?
