What the heck, man

What the heck, man

All airlines experience delays and cancellations, but how they handle it should matter. The gate agents have no idea what’s going on, and the app has not updated through all of this. Really, Frontier?

I made a decision. I am going to ask for a gowild pass refund. it was never used.

there are just no gwf fares available no matter what i check.

from
tpa/mco/srq

to
isp/ewr/lga/jfk

and they cut so many flight options, the pass is incredibly difficult to use. spirits demise didn't help because now so many more people have bought this pass making it even harder to use.

what I'm not going to do is fly around the country and waste my life on an airplane to get a $32 ticket connecting overnight with 2 day travel from florida to california back to New York. I like flying but there are limits.

that said..

I have been able to get refunded on previous passes - twice. both were a full refund. the key was they were never used and they had been purchased within 30 days of the refund request.

the reason for the first refund was, I decided to wait for a better pass deal. that was a monthly pass buy.

second reason was, right after I bought the seasonal pass, they announced their new flight schedules, and they cut my primary destination. to make things worse, they've now cut my second primary destination which was an alternative to the first primary destination they cut.

I will keep you posted here if they approve the refund. if not I guess I'm stuck with it. given the fact they have fully refunded so much for me in the past without penalty including mileage trips which almost never happens, I honestly cant even get mad if they deny this refund request.

this is for the summer pass $199

GoWild! …Now What?

The flight is basically free. Bags cost money, seats cost money, being scared you won't be able to get home without paying big bucks and stressing over it, is a thing.

These things are all easy to overcome. Some of us have figured out all the hacks to traveling on a whim, for as long as we like, to great places, and we meet awesome people.

I decided to make a list of tips and tricks for maximizing your experience, and actually feeling free to use the pass without paying all the fees or stressing out about hotel bills.

The GWP has opened a door for me, but it's not all. Changing how I think about travel, where I stay, how to not only endure long layovers, but enjoy them and even seek them out. I have stopped paying so much for rideshare and taxis and rental cars, and I now embrace the typically very good public transit situations.

For those of you who do the same, please comment and add your own suggestions and tips I have missed here.

This is what I have so far...

Forgot to renew GoWild...

...and now it's $599!! Anyone had any luck with talking to a rep to get the promo added as a previous customer? Or if there are any sales coming up?

GoWild "reactivated" without permission?

I had GoWild in 2023, but never got to use it as there were only three flights per week out of MCI, and it took going there to get anywhere. I didn't ask for a refund, just canceled for 2024. Great, no charges for it or 2025.
Suddenly now in 2026 there is a GoWild Pass charge on my saved credit card!
I disputed it with the CC because there isn't an option on the drop down CS menus for this situation.

Does LAS (Las Vegas) still check bags?

Hi y’all. I’ve been posting on here a few times because I am flying Frontier for the first time tomorrow night. I’m flying out of Las Vegas to Atlanta on a red-eye and I’m nervous about bag sizing. I’ve read a few posts about Las Vegas being strict about bag sizes but also posts about them not so I am a bit lost here. Has anyone flown out of Vegas recently and can you give me your experience, please?

frontier Employee review

"Frontier" communications So, to begin...I have tons of cons & complaints with this job. First, all jobs do background check first, so a person can start as soon as possible....this job no. 2ndly, they're so big on teaching sales & the business system they dont teach how to sign in & out, where, & how, as well as when. Same with the schedule. Im just learning after 1st week only at halfway kinda of 2 weeks, barley. Again mid way beginning week of 2nd week. Next, It's told that we get paid to learn vs not in college, but how if we dont clock in until at the assigned given location site for the day. We go to office meeting for an hour or hour & half....something like that but dont clock in...so then we dont get paid for that as mentioned....can you say scam/rip off or hidden agenda. After that, I dont like how someone else can take your sake working with them, especially if they're higher up than you. Thirdly, I don't like how it can be mix ups on which location your suppose to go to, especially with economy traveling wise. Also, not being able to start once at assigned location sometimes. I must say, I get the whole meeting lesson college type of before work....reasoning, but usually you get a whole 2 weeks at a college before being tested to meet the qualification of the material....in the situation it's for a job verification instead. Ive only got 1 week & a half to know so. If I was a manager I would never send a person home the same day making a mistake, instead say take off the next day...if that person came all the way there...again like you don't see the economy? Even if it wasn't bad...that's someonea time & money...I see why they hire weekly & you never see the same people or not enough or many people who stay more than 2 to 3 weeks. I mean, beyond a employee but as a customer. Ive had this job opportunity years ago twice. At that time frame it was only commission. I feel like for this job you get paid $10 hourly & I get more talk to customers in a day that beats my total pay. I usually get 300 & of course I can do more at least 350, only due to my disability. Even with a disability, I've trained others and lead others as a team lead, regardless... being told I've overcome...and do good regardless...Ive always meet my goals & get my job done at all jobs regardless of my disability. Thankfully, this is not my final body, I've had 3 rapture dreams Jesus is coming soon! WOOT WOOT ! Lastly, just like most jobs they care more about $ vs the actual employee to be honest...Ive learned to limit my bathroom breaks and its still not enough. Ive dealt with discrimination like no other....this one isn't the worse, not by a chance. Im use to it. I must end review by also saying that you don't need to know the entire pitch to sale, but I 100% get it.....Out of all people talked to you do like half the pitch...Anyways, I feel like if everyone makes a mistake on the pitch why do only one person get sent home vs why not just take the next day off, since you did come all the way to actally work vs just studying, meeting, testing, then being evaluated. Ive literally, only worked only 3 to 4 days in store maybe 5 days, but not more.....I feel too that 2 to 3 times a week to a meeting is needed vs every day minus weekend, esp if not being paid. A lot if jobs get travel reimbursements..not here...esp if you take lyft for ex.....Another thing most jobs give both or just commissions together, vs not if one is bigger than the other that's which you get. I believe like other commission jobs you get both or it's just commission. For ex Walgreens cosmetics, tons out there job wise.

August 2026 schedule

I booked a trip from STL to Cancun for this August. After booking the trip changed from direct to 20 hour layovers both ways. I’ve waited a few months but still no direct flights on tuesdays or wednesdays starting the week we are going?? Anyone have any clues why this would be? If it’ll update? If we should give up??

Delayed flight to Dallas

What should I do? My flight is originally was for 9 PM and now it’s delayed to 2 AM. Do I still get to the airport at the original time or do I go later and avoid being at the airport for six hours help

Refund worth it?

I will likely miss my connection in Denver and the next flight is not until the next morning. When I called frontier they said I would be eligible for a refund. I’m wondering if it would be worth it to just get the refund and put that money toward booking myself on another flight

Frontier states $25 booking fee at airport is valid

This is a follow up to my post a couple days ago. At the recommendation of the subreddit, I filed with the DOT. The DOT reached out to Frontier and this was Frontier's response. I just wanted to share the information here because some people are saying theyre not getting charged and others are.

Some help with zanily high prices

Hi folks,

Looking at booking a trip to Annapolis from Orlando for an event on September 19th (flying early on September 19th, returning mid-afternoon on September 20th), and have noticed the flight prices have shot up from some $350 return for three people last week/week before to nearly $700 this week for three people? Would you folks suggest booking the higher price, or waiting to see if they go down again closer to the time? In a bit of a pickle as to what to do.

Thanks!

My Positive Experience

Overall Frontier was a good experience. I would recommend based off my limited experience. Agents were professional and polite. Flight attendants were helpful. People in general were respectful. I get they have a bad rap and it is probably deserved at times. For me I would have paid 3x as much to fly with other airlines and would not have been able to afford up front seats.

I did also fly direct to avoid connections.

I was pretty paranoid about following their bag size rules and was really surprised by what they let people carry on when their bags were clearly oversized.

Mostly an observation from 2 flights this past week. Has anyone else seen this as well? I was expecting the gate agents to go crazy and start rejecting a bunch of people. They didn’t. I did see people getting dinged for oversized checked bags in the ticket check in lines. Those were costly mistakes. People were putting on multiple outfits to get their bag weight under the limit.

Are some airports more strict than others? Has Frontier become more lax with carry on size?

I would absolutely recommend complying with bag size because who knows when and where they will be strict.

Missed flight/ reimbursement question

We missed our flight due to staff at the checked bags (we were on time) this caused us to have to pay $800 for a new same day flight. I talked to support staff via chat and the basically keep saying I was marked as a no-show even though we made it to the gate and even arrived before departure time. Now we will be stuck at an airport from 6:30am to 8pm, with a baby and toddler. Does anyone have any tips on getting some kind of reimbursement?
