So the story goes like this, I picked this 3-PW set up last weekend at a Golf Town used club section for $125 CAD. The intent was that I would clean them and flip them… That was the intent, but what wasn’t intended was for me to slowly fall for them, which I have completely.
They are just unbelievably pretty clubs in all regards. I spent the next night cleaning them, and then the following night taking a steel wool and stainless steel cleaner to them and they are now satin soft to the touch and look nearly new. The more I look at them the more I like them.
What I will say is compared to more modern irons these are absolutely punishing. The heads are tiny even compared to my Mizuno MP-54’s. They won’t let you away with anything short of a good strike as I learned the same day I bought them (Also turns out the 3 iron makes for a decent putter). But when you do get it right they feel so rewarding. I’m now certain I’m keeping them and I’m thinking of using them as a range set as a means of improving my ball striking.
