1. Start as Croatia in 1066
2. Conquer Serbia
3. Conquer Hungary after they've been weakened by Pechenegs
4. Convert most counties to Orthodoxy
5. Marry into Polish, Kiev, and Byzantine families with the goal of giving me solid allies to help conquer italian lands
6. Scratch Italian goals, I die and am replaced by my son who i married to the byzantine princess, and I notice I now have a claim on the empire of Byzantium
7. Declare war for the Empire of Byzantium, calling my polish and kievan allies
8. Win the war, 26,000+ dead in my bloodiest war yet, place my wife on the Byzantine throne
9. Have a son, eventually he becomes heir to both Croatia and Byzantium
   10............

I started this playthrough with the goal of spreading Orthodoxy, and wasn't really expecting to randomly take all of Byzantium. What should be my next goal? Shall I focus my efforts west against the HRE, or push East claiming the holy lands and more?
