Hi everyone, I am on the waitlist for NYU Stern, which is my dream school. Ik they said not to add any rec letters, but I got a stern professor to write me one, and after calling their line and asking several ao's, I reached a general consensus that they allow you and sometimes encourage you to attach it to your file, but might not be considered during the waitlist round (some said it would, some said it wouldn't.) Does anyone know whether this would help/hurt me, and if a gap year is smart in this situation?

I'm currently on the waitlist for NYU Stern, and I got rejected by all of my reaches this cycle. I am currently committed to my state school, but I want to go into high finance and ik that my chances are slim from my state school. Should I take a gap year or what are my options?

Hey guys, I'm a current senior on the NYU Stern waitlist. I have a professor who wrote a rec letter for me because I know him, but I know the form says not to send any. Is there any way it can still be added to my file, or can he do it lowkey with people at NYU?
