Hey everyone,

I’m going to Los Angeles Trade-Technical College (LATTC) this fall through LACCD, and I’m trying to fully understand how financial aid works before I start.

I was awarded Pell Grant and Cal Grant, but I’m a little confused about a few things:

Do I still get the full Pell Grant amount even though I’m going to a community college?
What’s the best way to make sure I get the maximum financial aid possible (grants, refunds, etc.)?
Is the SSCG (Student Success Completion Grant) still available this fall, and how do I make sure I qualify for it?
Are there any steps I should take early so I don’t miss out on money (enrollment units, FAFSA timing, etc.)?

I just want to make sure I’m not leaving any aid on the table or missing deadlines. 😭

Any advice from LACCD students or anyone familiar with financial aid would really help. Thanks!
