New ball python wont take meals

So we picked up a baby BP at a reptile expo. Since we brought it home, she has refused every meal. According to the breeder, the last time she ate was April 20th. She is still very shy/scared. She only comes out of her hide at night. During the day, she will stick her head out, and that's it. We never handled her because everything I read states not to handle before at least 1 or 2 feeds. My concern is two things:

Her health and well-being due to not eating.

Not building trust with her because she's starting to strike at us through the glass.

I've tried 4 times to feed frozen-thawed mice that were warmed up with a hairdryer. All she would do is come up to them, flick her tongue, and then nothing. Even when I would leave them in for a few hours, she would ignore them.

I contacted the breeder, and he recommended that I cover up all sides of the glass and try to feed her live mice next week, and frankly, I don't feel comfortable feeding her live mice. What if she refuses or gets injured by the mouse?

Any advice?

Thank you

Warm side temps 90 , cool side 77
