Is Vinted support just run by bots or are they just useless?
To summarise it, this is my first time having to raise an issue with Vinted support in my 3 years of using it, and I am pretty baffled by how useless the support team seems to be to the point where I'm wondering whether it's just bots causing me to go around in circles?
Basically, I bought an item off of Vinted (a board game), which was sent in a single layer of brown packing paper packaging. As I said, I've never had an issue with a vinted order/sale, so I didn't even think about taking a picture of the package/keeping the paper wrapping, and the outer packaging didn't have any damage to it. Upon opening the package, I realised that the item was damaged and the seller didn't disclose it in any way (didn't mention it in the description, seemed to avoid taking photos of the ripped side on their original listing and listed the item as "new with tags") and immediately reported the issue to the seller. It has now been 3 days and the seller still hasn't responded to the issue despite being online multiple times. I passed on the issue to Vinted support, but they are refusing to do anything about it without me providing images of the original packaging which I can't do anymore and frankly, I don't think any of the damages could possibly have been done without ripping the thin outer packaging as well, so it seems like the seller just didn't disclose all the flaws of the item. I've told them multiple times that I'm more than happy to return the item for a refund, but the seller isn't replying so I can't do that, and they just keep reposting the same copy and pasted reply about them releasing the payment to the seller if I don't provide proof in the next 48hrs.
Is that just the standard experience when it comes to these sorts of issues on Vinted? I mean, surely sellers ghosting unhappy buyers who bring up valid issues with their purchase shouldn't just get the funds released to them anyways? I thought they would have sent the seller a message or something to nudge them to reply, but it seems like they can't be bothered to even do that. Just a bit of a crappy experience. : (
