… thank you! I know some people would wonder what’s the point of selling something for £1. But this is where Vinted can be awesome. My child can currently wear only one particular style of bike shorts. Thanks to Vinted I have been able to stock up big time. I’m so glad there are people who will go to the effort of listing them just for the sake of a pound or so.
Having just stocked up on a couple more pairs, I’m just feeling a bit of gratitude to random strangers on Vinted x
I bought some "spicy" Ann Summers pieces on Vinted and collected from my usual store today. I am far from a prude (hence the purchase 🫠) but was really embarrassed to see that the seller had sent it in a transparent, clear cellophane bag. I'm in that store on a daily basis, dropping off and picking up, and it was genuinely uncomfortable (I think for the owner as much as me) for what I had bought to be totally visible.
Attached is my exchange with the seller, who I messaged in the context of "gentle feedback" about the packaging. I think I'm just hoping someone here will sympathise because I feel quite strange about the whole thing.
sold a digital camera for a decent amount of money, but buyer is claiming i sold them a bag? seems strange as they have all 5 star reviews from other sellers. i’m worried that if i press contact us, vinted with side with them and issue an automatic refund. i have a video of the camera with all the packing materials i used in the background, filming the screen and the flash a final time to check, but that’s all i have. what should i do?
I'm new to Vinted and I opened the app and saw this, how does it work?
I’m a 17 year old with no financial income or support from anybody. I need to make money asap in terms of trying to make sure I can afford my basic necessities and needs. I recently saved up just about enough and I’m looking for things that sell pretty quick on Vinted. Does anybody have any idea what I should stock up on and sell and would sell for a good deal and quickly? Please do let me know! Thank you so much for reading! 🥹🫶🏼
I get the plushie isnt available anymore but jesus christ, I can only assume this is a scalper
The listing is about a gaming chair. It drew A LOT of interest, over 600 views, dozens of likes and many offers.
Most of the interactions were completely normal but then there were these two which honestly just left me quite dumbfounded.
I have sold on vinted, I have bought on vinted and nothing like this had ever happened to me.
I knew that it happened - I have following this sub for quite some time - I just never expected to happen to me over a freaking chair.
I wanted to rage, be sarcastic or just plain mean in my responses but I knew that wouldn't change anything because it rarely does, so I guess I just needed to vent a bit because it really is frustrating.
Any advice on how to deal with people like this is honestly more than welcome.
Every seller has one! That item you listed 'just to see' because surely nobody would want it. And then it sells within the hour. Meanwhile the good stuff the stuff you were sure would fly is still sat there three weeks later with 14 views and a growing sense of betrayal. What's the item you were convinced would never sell? And what's still waiting for its buyer?
Hi, I bought a kpop photocard on vinted but have received this message from the seller.
I'm fine about the order being cancelled, I just want to check how this should be done.
They've asked me to cancel the order. Is that correct or should they cancel it on their end?
Thanks.
I have around 35 items on my Vinted and have uploaded a couple recently and most have one or two saves and around 10-20 views. I used the bump feature and that did nothing but it’s annoying because my photos and listings are really detailed.
I saw someone selling the exact same item as me for £10 more with like one blurry picture and they had 80 saves whilst mine had like 8. My prices are already as low as they can possibly get but I feel like even if I put every item up for an unbelievably low amount they still wouldn’t sell.
...then there is this, had to swerve in the end, only asked why it was posted 7 times to try and avoid getting scammed then this!
These images are not giving a true depiction of the items for sale , however if you wish to play spot the difference then the platform is full of them .
Hiya! I’m new to vinted, and looking at selling items for the first time. However, I was just wondering if there is anything I would need to look out for when selling, as I am seeing some horror story’s from selling things gone wrong. Thanks!!
Vinted Switch 2 listing — scam or did I misunderstand?
I bought what I thought was a Nintendo Switch 2 on Vinted for £79.99 because I thought I’d found an insane bargain.
The title says “Nintendo Switch 2”. The description says:
“Nintendo Switch 2
Controller
Switch storage case
Charger HDMI cable”
However, the listing is categorised under Controller, which I didn’t notice before buying.
The seller has 0 reviews. I also messaged them before buying asking if it worked and had no issues, but they didn’t reply. They then created a shipping label almost immediately, although it hasn’t been dispatched yet.
I’ve requested cancellation, but Vinted says the seller needs to approve it because the shipping label has been created.
Do you think this is likely a scam, or did I just completely misunderstand the listing? And if it gets sent, what should I do to make sure I’m protected by Vinted Buyer Protection?
Should I just leave the parcel at the petrol station it’s getting dropped off too so it gets sent back and I get my money back? I’d appreciate any advice thank you
is anyone else SICK of weirdo men on vinted trying to slide into ur dms every time u post a photo wearing what ur selling,,,, its acc disturbing🥲i wish vinted was just girls cos ive had to not put some photos up cos i just KNOW men are gonna perv on it. got this message over literally a maxi dress that was not figure hugging at all like omg ur actually a grown man trying to drop vinted game. this isn’t even a bad message but it’s genuinely just annoying trying to sell clothes and getting followers who are old men following like 100 young women
So, this is entirely my mistake as a seller, and I just want to resolve it in the fairest way possible.
I think I accidentally double-sold an item. I’ve been moving in with my partner over the last couple of months which has meant selling a LOT of my things. I’ve been listing things left right and centre for months, and have sold over 100 of my items by now.
I got a notification that somebody had purchased a top from me this morning that I listed maybe 9-10 months ago. I was initially confused because I could’ve sworn I already sold it. When I went to look through my previous sales, it doesn’t seem to come up though, and Vinted hides my oldest sales from me so I can’t even see what those are. I already messaged somebody who bought a bundle from me saying “Hey, so sorry! But did you happen to buy this top?”
I’m going to have a deep dive through all my things just in case I still have it, but I’m pretty sure it’s gone.
As I said, entirely my fault! I just feel bad for the girl and don’t want to come off like some pro-seller trying to scam anyone. I also don’t want it to affect my rating by just cancelling on her. What should I do?
I have some American boots and I displayed the size which is equivalent from the USA size which is 8.5B. Techincally from the manufacturer website they are a size 6.5UK but i listed them as 6-6.5 because they are a snip toe and are for slimmer feet or a smaller size 6.
I stated that very clearly and now the person who bought them has created a dispute because it dosnt fit their feet. In fact they cant even get their foot past the shaft. Makes me think they are a size 7.
I should be able to win if i reject the return because i was clear in the sizing and they want to return it because it dosnt fit?
I never experienced this before so I want to make sure I do the right thing.
It seems the issue of ban-happy Vinted is finding some exposure in the mainstream.
I wonder if this will make any material difference to their poor practices? Probably not.
I sold an item to a buyer on Vinted and everything went smoothly to start with. The tracking has confirmed as being delivered today however the buyer has been blocked (on the day they received their order). I thought they had blocked me but after searching their name up on another account no users came up. I have reached out to the Vinted “support” team and they couldn’t give me a response. Will I still get my payment or do I need to chase this up ?
