My plan is to insulate the subfloor and then fit engineered wood floor, the issue is the joists are not in the best condition, it’s not level and I’m around 50mm lower than the hallway floor.

What’s the best approach to sort these issues?

Replace the joists?
Sister new joists along the old ones?
