Image 1 — What is this? I found this in a landscaping rock pile at my son’s house. It is very hard and cannot scratch it with a knife. It’s smooth and as big as quarter.

Found this in a landscaping pile of river rock. Any ideas of what it is?

It is hard and not able to scratch with a knife. It’s translucent when flashlight is used. Has orange lines on top and several layers on the bottom. Was found in Iowa!
