ABSN rec?

I have a 3.003 health science bachelors degree. I could go to chamberlain but it will take almost 3 years. I have taken biology, chemistry, microbiology, psychology, and stats for pre recs. I still need to take both anatomy courses.

Does anyone have any schools that I would have a shot at getting into, or is chamberlain my best option? My microbiology credit expires in the spring. Midwest preferred

Annoying

I have a bachelors degree in Health Sciences. I am transferring 44 credits to chamberlain. I’ve never taken anatomy and they are saying I need to take all 4 anatomy classes in different sessions before I can take any other class, which puts me at 2 years 6-9 months. I’m very discouraged. Has anyone else experienced this?

passed 1st try with a 90.96

Hello!
I thought I would post here since I used this group a lot while studying. I took the HESI V1 last night and scored a 90.96.
I studied for 1.5 weeks while working an 8-5 sales job. If you are feeling overwhelmed or like you don’t have enough time DO NOT STRESS!!! It is so possible to be successful.

First thing that I did was listen to nurse shai YouTube videos during any free time that I had. On my way to work everyday I listened to biology, and on my way home from work I listened to A&P.

I also highly recommend nursehub. It was honestly worth it for the peace of mind alone. Quizlet is amazing and a lot of the questions were on there, but nurse hub made me feel prepared because I felt like I actually knew the concepts instead of memorizing random ones. I watched the videos for the sections and retook every knowledge check quiz until I got 100%.

Linking the quizlets later!

Help me

I take the HESI tomorrow and I feel so unprepared. I’ve studied maybe 2 hours per day for the past week using nurse hub and quizlet. I just feel like I haven’t learned anything
If anyone has taken V1 this week please let me know what resources were the most helpful. What should I do today to gauge how ready I am or if I should reschedule?

Hesi

Hi! I decided to try for chamberlain this week. I need to take the HESI on Sunday, I haven’t studied and I haven’t been in school for a while. If I don’t do good on it will they deny admission, or is it just a benchmark type of thing?

HELP!! SOS!!!!

I found out I need to take the HESI a2 in 4 days. I work an 8-5, so I can’t study those hours.
I took a practice anatomy exam and got a 48%.
I am taking a&p, biology, vocab, and reading.

I purchased nursehub. What is the BEST THING for me to do? I need to pass this. Anything helps.

Hesi A2

Hello!
How difficult is the HESI? I am kindof fast tracking my applications and I will be taking the hesi on Sunday. This gives me about 4 days to study on top of a full time job. I just graduated with my bachelors in health sciences so I do have somewhat of a science background, I am just wondering if maybe I am in way over my head and should reschedule.

Needing Advice

Hi!!
I graduated with a Bachelors degree in Health Sciences. The only prerequisites for any ABSN programs that I took were chem 1100, gen bio, stats, and Microbiology.

My gpa overall was very low (3.0) and I just don’t want to put so much effort into taking prereqs to then not even end up getting a spot in a program.

It’s seeming like my best option is to start at Chamberlain University this fall. It would take at minimum 2 years and some change, on top of my 4 year degree. I want to pursue nursing but it just seems like 6 years is a long time all together, and I’m worried about it not being worth it. I would be 25 when I become an RN.

If anyone has any other paths I could take or similar options I’d appreciate any advice. I would also love to hear from anyone in a similar situation!

Help!

Day 20… I’m losing hope :(
It hasn’t had any changes. It did in the beginning but it doesn’t rise. It bubbles and it smells good. It’s gets so thin like watery about 12 hours after feeding. I’ve been consistently doing a 1:1:1 ratio.

Leaving starter for 2 weeks

I’m leaving for two weeks. My starter is 20 days old with limited activity. It hasn’t doubled enough for me to bake with it yet. What should I do? I could bring some with me but it would be difficult. Is it risky to leave it in the fridge?

Cold house

My starter is 17 days old. Ive been doing everything right, 1:1:1 ratio, keeping it in the oven, feeding at 3pm daily. (I skipped day two feed). There are small bubbles every day and it is thinner after 24 hours so I know something is happening. It also had a bad smell for afew days and now it smells good. I’m wondering if the reason it won’t double or grow at all is because my house is too cold. Even when keeping it in the oven it isn’t any warmer. Does anyone have any advice for how I can create a warmer space to store it in?

Liquidy starter after feeding

My starter is a week and a half old. I’ve been doing a 1:1:1 ratio, 50g of each. I’ve noticed in the past few days it’s been very thin 24 hours after feeding. There’s a few clusters of bubbles but nothing crazy and it doesn’t grow. I’m assuming it’s still in the quiet stage. Should I be feeding it less water since it’s so liquidy/thin the next day? It smells normal and it looks thick after the feeding.

Discard?

Is discarding necessary even if my starter isn’t rising and there’s plenty of room in my jar for it to double? I’m on day 5 and I discarded for the first time today.

It also smells rancid like (I’m sorry) vomit or something… can this be saved or do I need to start over?

Cheap but expensive feeling date night spots?

Hi!
My long distance boyfriend is coming to visit this weekend. I’m from the suburbs so we are going to take the train to union station and go from there. We are fresh out of college so the budget is pretty low. I want to maybe start somewhere for drinks like a happy hour vibe and then walk somewhere else and get dinner. Maybe ending the night at a rooftop as well! If anyone has any recommendations or could help me plan out something like this please let me know :) It will just be the two of us so I’m open to any other ideas to make this fun I don’t usually plan things Lol

Water Separation

Day 4 and right after the feed some liquid appeared on the sides. I’m assuming it’s water separation based on some research. Do I feed as normal tomorrow, skip, or add less water?
