Aeroplan doesn't have same All Nippon Airways Business Class award space that United/Lifemiles/etc have
I have been looking at a few routes in ANA biz, namely PER-NRT, SYD-HND, and HND/NRT-HNL.
The pattern is that business class space is decent in the two weeks before departure.
United, Lifemiles, even Virgin Australia Velocity have access to all the same ANA biz award space.
Aeroplan has the same access too, except on the Tokyo to Honolulu route where Aeroplan almost never has the space the other programs have (maybe 1/10 of the space). I wondered if it was a quirk online, and a phone agent could see the space. Nope. I was just on hold for 1hr45min, and the agent couldn't see the business class award space that ANA's other partners have.
I strongly prefer to book with Aeroplan because of the ease of getting the points, and the generous lap-infant price. Any idea why on this one route, Aeroplan doesn't have access to the ANA business class space most of the time?
