I recently built a new Rain Bird Irrigation System, and I put in a “Dumb” four zone controller, but I needed more zones and went back and got the 8 Zone smart version. The dumb one is fine for my application, but is it going to be a mistake switching to the smart one? The WiFi isn’t bad around here, but for example if the WiFi goes out does the controller not water as long as the WiFi is out? I like having the built in rain delay, but is it better to keep it simple?
